Dr. Michael Longlet brings a strong clinical background and a well-rounded approach to sleep apnea care at the Snoring & Sleep Apnea Dental Treatment Center. After earning his dental degree from the University of Minnesota School of Dentistry, Dr. Longlet went on to complete a two-year, hospital-based General Practice Residency at the University of Minnesota Medical Center, where he served as Chief Resident.
During his residency, Dr. Longlet worked closely with medical teams in areas like transplant, oncology, and internal medicine, giving him valuable experience caring for medically complex patients. He also trained in anesthesia, emergency medicine, and oral surgery, building a deep understanding of airway anatomy and how the body functions—knowledge that plays a key role in treating sleep-disordered breathing.
Dr. Longlet has continued his education through advanced training at the Kois Center and Spear Education, including focused coursework in airway prosthodontics and functional occlusion. This allows him to design and fine-tune oral appliances that are both effective and comfortable. He is currently working toward Diplomate certification with the American Board of Dental Sleep Medicine.
What truly sets Dr. Longlet apart is his patient-centered approach. He believes in taking the time to educate patients about how sleep apnea impacts overall health and works closely with them to create treatment plans that fit their needs and lifestyle. Outside of the office, he enjoys mountain biking, being outdoors, and spending time with his wife, Chelsea—also a dental sleep-medicine provider—and their two children.
