She earned her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Minnesota in 2002 and soon thereafter began focused training in TMJ disorders and dental sleep medicine.

Dr. Cervenka’s professional path has been deeply influenced by her own experience with migraines and TMJ dysfunction, which led her to pursue extensive continuing education in these complex conditions. Her advanced training includes coursework and clinical education through the Pankey Institute, Tufts School of Dental Medicine, American Academy of Dental Sleep Medicine, American Academy of Craniofacial Pain, and American Academy of Orofacial Pain. She is also an active member of the Spencer Study Club, with a focus on dental sleep medicine and TMJ-related disorders.

In 2018, Dr. Cervenka chose to limit her clinical practice to the treatment of sleep-disordered breathing and TMJ conditions, drawn by the meaningful impact this work has on patients’ daily lives and long-term health. She is known for her patient-centered approach and is deeply committed to understanding each individual’s symptoms, health history, and goals. Dr. Cervenka takes a thoughtful, compassionate approach to care, investing the time necessary to research and recommend treatment options that are tailored to each patient’s specific needs and circumstances, with the goal of achieving the best possible outcome.

She places strong emphasis on the connection between effective sleep apnea therapy and overall health, including its relationship to chronic pain conditions such as TMJ-related dysfunction.

Outside of the office, Dr. Cervenka enjoys spending time with her family, gardening, camping, hiking, traveling, and supporting dog rescue organizations.
